This budget motel did the job. The owner was friendly and accommodating and I stayed in a room that has been updated. They are in the process of updating their rooms. The historic vibe is cool. Comments regarding train noise should remember this: This is a historic train town. The train, which is still an active and important freight train, built this town! It's cool. The location in cute little downtown Tehachapi couldn't be better. I would definitely return here.

Honestly, this motel was great! The room was clean, good air conditioning, everything in the bathroom worked, TV worked, good doors & locks, fridge, microwave, the WiFi works well, the outlets and covers in the room are new, looks like it has recently been painted.
